Native Hawaiian Community Advisory Board
The Native Hawaiian Advisory Board assists the UH Cancer Center with research addressing the high burden of cancer among Native Hawaiians. This committee, composed of respected community health professionals, reviews all research projects focusing on Native Hawaiians, makes specific recommendations to improve relevance and cultural adequacy, and assists with outreach and dissemination of findings.
Community Advisory Board
The Community Advisory Board provides valuable guidance, feedback, and support of activities and research conducted at the UH Cancer Center to ensure the needs of the community are addressed.
Patient Advocacy Council
The goal of the Patient Advocacy Council (PAC) is to empower cancer patients with knowledge and understanding of clinical trials. PAC members provide feedback from a patient and caregiver’s perspective.
