Norma Nichols, PhD included the UH Cancer Center as a beneficiary of her estate to establish the Norma Bird Nichols, PhD Fund for Innovative Clinical Research. Sadly, her fight with cancer ended in July 2018. Nichols said,
While I may not see a cure in my lifetime, I know that research has come a long way.
I hope my gift can help these scientists make more progress, faster.
