The Association of American Cancer Institutes (AACI) selected UH Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office Medical Director, Jessica Rhee, MD, for a three-year term on its Clinical Research Innovation (CRI) Steering Committee. The steering committee guides and implements activities that encourage best practices and efficient use of resources and operations in cancer center clinical research facilities. Rhee is joining only 11 other committee members from across the nation. The AACI CRI was established in 2009 as a recognition of the crucial role that cancer clinical trials play in prevention, early detection and treatment.

"I am honored to be chosen for this committee and look forward to representing the UH Cancer Center. As a community-facing NCI-designated academic cancer center, we are in a unique position to help shape the changing climate of cancer clinical research. As a newly appointed CRI Steering Committee member, I am excited to learn, contribute and further the great work of AACI," said Rhee.
